Description

Translate design concepts and engineering specifications into visual representations used for construction, permitting, and project coordination.

Assist in the design and planning phases of road construction projects by creating accurate and precise drawings that guide the construction process and ensure alignment with engineering standards.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Drawings:

• Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and plans that illustrate road layouts, cross-sections, profiles, and construction details.

• Interpret engineering designs and concepts into visual representations.

Drafting Software:

• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create, modify, and finalize technical drawings.

• Ensure drawings are accurate, to scale, and aligned with project requirements.

Coordination with Engineers:

• Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and other professionals to incorporate design changes and adjustments into drawings.

Permitting and Documentation:

• Assist in preparing documentation required for permitting and regulatory approvals.

• Maintain organized records of drawings and project documentation.

Design Modifications:

• Update and revise drawings as necessary to reflect design changes, feedback, or modifications.

Quality Control:

• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to engineering specifications.

• Identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in drawings.

• Communication: Communicate effectively with project teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of design intent.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.

• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Accuracy of Drawings: Evaluate the precision and correctness of technical drawings.

• Timeliness: Measure the ability to produce drawings within project timelines.

• Quality Assurance:

Assess the quality and compliance of drawings with engineering standards.

• Collaboration: Evaluate effective communication and coordination with project teams.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• CAD Proficiency: Skill in using computer-aided design software for creating technical drawings.

• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret engineering designs and translate them into accurate drawings.

• Attention to Detail: Precision in creating drawings with accurate dimensions and annotations.

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of road construction terminology, materials, and methods.

• Communication: Effective communication with engineering teams and other stakeholders.

• Adaptability: Ability to adjust drawings based on design changes and project requirements.

• Problem-Solving: Capability to address design challenges and incorporate feedback.

• Time Management: Efficiently manage drawing tasks within project timelines.

• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Working experience: Possession 8 years working experience.
