Absa Group Support Engineer: Coupa Jobs in South Africa


Job Description

  • Apply critical thinking, design thinking, and problem‑solving skills in an agile team environment to solve technical problems (Front End, Back End, or Middleware) with high‑quality solutions.

  • Work with integrated teams to improve and evolve technical products and services.

  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and continuously evolve knowledge and skills for cross‑domain experiences.

  • Conduct peer reviews, testing, and problem‑solving within and across the broader team.

  • Update or design all application documentation aligned to organizational technical standards and risk / governance frameworks.

  • Participate in incident management and disaster recovery activities, applying problem‑solving and technical expertise to root cause analysis.

  • Provide first‑level technical support for Coupa users by addressing inquiries, issues, and requests through incident management, email, phone, or chat.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user‑reported problems related to the Coupa platform, including system errors, access issues, and functional inquiries.

  • Create and maintain documentation for common issues and solutions to assist users and support team members.

  • Assist in developing and delivering user training materials and sessions to ensure effective use of Coupa features.

  • Review and analyze Coupa data to identify trends, potential problems, and areas for process improvement.

  • Collaborate with Level 2 & 3 support and Coupa administrators to escalate and resolve complex issues.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement
    of Coupa processes and suggest enhancements to optimize user experience.

  • Ensure Coupa usage complies with company policies and industry regulations.

    Education & Experience Required

  • 1–2 years’ experience in technical support or software engineering.

  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not essential if practical experience is evident.

  • Some experience or understanding of unit testing frameworks.

  • Affinity for debugging and problem‑solving.

  • Experience in minor project management roles.

  • Basic understanding of ERP technologies and integration.
