Absa Group Business Analyst Asset Finance Jobs in South Africa


Job Description

  • Liaise with Business Development Officer (BDO), Relationship Executive (RE), clients, and other stakeholders to understand the process or requirements of credit applications.

  • Conduct research on the client’s industry to assess overall profitability, industry trends, and market standing relative to competitors.

  • Perform robust financial and non‑financial analysis on clients to support new proposals for commercial asset finance, focusing on credit risk implications.

  • Use clients’ historical data (e.g., financial statements) to forecast potential growth and sustainability.

  • Conduct sensitivity/scenario analysis to determine the impact of economic, political, or demand changes on clients’ financial health.

  • Structure commercial asset finance lending solutions that account for potential threats and align with credit limits, policies, and appetite.

  • Ensure compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and philosophy, addressing and mitigating any breaches.

  • Adhere to Absa Business Bank credit policy and relevant legislation during application preparation.

  • Communicate credit committee decisions to RE/BDO consultants via email or written documentation.

  • Provide weekly status reports to Regional Managers on completed work, work in progress, pending applications, and approval ratios.

    Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies (Required).
