Duties & Responsibilities

Architecture

Leverage organizational strategy to identify, design, and deliver scalable, testable, reusable technology solutions

Collaborate with delivery teams to analyze customer requirements and business capabilities, framing complex business problems for solution design

Reconcile diverse stakeholder perspectives within solution designs through negotiation and communication skills

Apply analytical and creative problem-solving to synthesize solution designs beyond problem analysis

Lead design thinking processes to deliver solution blueprints and roadmaps

Create end-to-end solution blueprints implementable across initiative life-cycle (ideation to commercialization)

Contribute to feasibility studies and business cases

Apply engineering knowledge (domain-driven design, microservices, loosely coupled integration, modern practices) to solution design

Identify best-fit tools for solutions and pivot to better options when required

Assume accountability for solution blueprint design and delivery decisions

Work with project/program management teams to align solution roadmaps with strategic requirements

Embed within delivery teams to ensure successful design and implementation of solution blueprints

Conduct solution reviews, code reviews, and testing

Present solution designs and business cases in architectural forums for approval

Identify risks and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate challenges

Conduct solution reviews against customer metrics to ensure business results

Stay

updated on evolving architectural principles and align solutions accordingly

Build architectural capability across delivery teams and contribute to architecture knowledge base

People

Participate in peer reviews and transfer knowledge across delivery teams

Set and cascade solution direction across technology teams

Coach and build architectural capability in delivery teams

Support recruitment, development, and retention of strong technology teams

Embed agile practices in delivery teams to build high-performance, self-directed teams

Financial & Vendor Management, Risk & Governance

Carry accountability for risks associated with solution design from ideation to deployment

Apply organizational risk and governance frameworks

Ensure solution design alignment to Group guidelines and regulatory requirements

Engage chapter and guild leads in solution decision-making with enterprise-wide perspective

Deliver solutions on time and within budget

Education

Bachelor’s Degree: Information Technology
