Job Description

  • Manage all accounting transactions by classifying under each project/program,
    Record collections, receipts and payment vouchers on daily bases and check all supporting documents are properly filed,
  • Maintains accounts or supervises subordinates in such accounting activities as cash sales, credit sales, cash receipt vouchers, receivable and collection,
  • Notifies immediate supervisor of any discrepancy noted with
    budget and expense under each program/project;
  • Follow up and make sure advance payments are settled on timely manner,
  • Make sure daily cash on hand is deposited to the company bank account and bank advices are attached accordingly,
  • Prepares monthly staff payroll, vender ledger with payable accounts and receivable balance with subsidiary ledger;
  • Propose and draft necessary adjustment or rebooking of entries on an ongoing basis
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns as per the Ethiopian tax policy and regulation,
  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor,

    Job Requirements

    Qualification, Experience and Skills

  • BA degree in accounting from recognized university
  • Minimum of 5 years proven working experience as an Accountant/Finance assistant
  • Ability to build relationships with large diverse group of teams
  • Good knowledge of Ethiopian tax policy and regulation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced MS Excel, Peachtree and reporting skill
