Job Summary
Oversee all production activities within the assigned Production Section, ensuring optimum productivity, product quality, operational efficiency and achievement of production targets.
Provide leadership and technical guidance to production teams while ensuring adherence to horticultural best practices, resource optimization and continuous operational improvement.
Drive efficient flower production processes that support organizational growth, quality standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and supervise all production activities within the designated production section.
Ensure achievement of production targets, quality standards and operational objectives.
Monitor crop performance, production schedules and resource utilization to maximize output.
Implement and maintain best practices in flower production and crop management.
Supervise production staff and ensure optimal workforce productivity and performance.
Provide leadership, coaching and support to employees within the production section.
Coordinate production activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor and control production costs, resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and production procedures.
Analyze production data and prepare operational reports and recommendations.
Identify production challenges and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental requirements.
Promote teamwork and collaboration across functional departments.
Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making related to production performance.
Qualifications
Degree in Horticulture, Floriculture, Agriculture or a related field.
Additional professional training in production management, crop management or agribusiness is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in flower production in a similar capacity.
Demonstrated experience managing flower production
operations within a commercial horticulture environment.
Proven experience leading production teams and managing performance against production targets.
Experience in crop planning, production monitoring and operational management is highly desirable.
