A Reputable Company Agronomist Jobs in Zambia

Our client, a multinational Agri business is looking for an agronomist to head up a region within Zambia.

The candidate will collaborate with farmers and crop researchers to conduct a detailed analysis of crop data.

You will be expected to maintain a deep understanding of soil productivity principles and keep tabs on the latest trends and technologies in agronomy.

Success in this role will be determined by providing valuable insights that lead to solutions that drive higher crop yields.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses crop production and fertilizer application amongst farmers

• Evaluates and improves seed quality

• Carries out laboratory tests of soil, seed, and crop samples

• Performs quality control for seed calibre and soil standards

• Keeps records of research, testing, and results

• Prepares analysis and data presentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of agronomy work experience

• In-depth knowledge of soil, crop principles and fertilizer application

• Proficient in MS Office

• Outstanding analytical skills

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Diploma in Agriculture or a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture; A Master’s degree in Agriculture is considered a distinct advantage
