A & J Global Senior ICT Officer Jobs in Kenya; Our client, operating within the Pension Fund sector in the East African region, is looking to fill key positions to join a team dedicated to delivering client centric services aligned with its strategic goals and plans for the next five years and beyond. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, candidates must be prepared to take on vital roles defined by the policies and frameworks established to fulfill the organization’s core mandate.

An officer at this level will work under the supervision of a more senior officer.

a) Duties and Responsibilities

(i) Gathering and defining user operational requirements by carrying out detailed study of business functions and processes;

(ii) Performing detailed research on technology solutions and their impact on business;

(iii) Developing solution blueprints based on user requirements;

(iv) Documenting and developing in-depth knowledge of existing IT architecture/ infrastructure and technology portfolio of the Fund;

(v) Developing and managing an infrastructure and capacity plan;

(vi) Planning, designing and implementing databases on a variety of platforms including database backup and recovery procedures and integration of database with application requirements;

(vii) Monitoring and optimizing database performance;

(viii) Ensuring integration of processes to maintain and develop the required services to support and improve the effectiveness of the core activities;

(ix) Developing and enhancing interdivisional cooperation, vendor relationships and communications;

(x) Establishing network specifications by conferring

with users;

(xi) Analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements;

(xii) Designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols;

(xiii) Implementing, supporting, maintaining and administering IT security solutions: and

(xiv) Reviewing infrastructure security and reports on the security posture of the Fund;



a) Requirements for Appointment



For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

(i) Must have served for a Cumulative period of six (6) years three (3) of which must be at the grade of ICT Officer I or a comparable position;

(ii) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a recognized institution;

(iii) Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing;

(iv) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution; and

(v) Shown merit and ability as shown in work performance and results.
