This programme combines landscape architecture and forestry and will give you the tools work with the urban green resource.
The strength of the Urban Forestry and Urban Greening programme is the combination of landscape architecture and forestry to look at the urban green resource as a whole; this involves working closely with research and practice, using interdisciplinary tools and methods in order to create a sustainable and more vivid society.
After the year of study you will have attained a good theoretical and operative knowledge of the skills desirable in both public and private sectors, traditionally dealing with urban forestry and urban greening – such as municipalities, regional and national offices.
Good opportunities also exist within research and international institutions, such as the FAO and EU.
Located in the Øresund Region, based at SLU Alnarp in close co-operation with KVL and other Nordic universities and involving teachers from all the Nordic countries, it will provide an international focus for the programme.
The programme is conducted in English.
