UVRI Jobs: The Uganda Virus Research Institute-IAVI HIV Vaccine Program is a partnership between the Government of Uganda and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) with the mission to conduct HIV vaccine clinical trials and to support research, education, capacity building and advocacy that will further Uganda's contribution to the global search for an AIDS Vaccine and will support Uganda's efforts to accelerate HIV prevention, especially in vulnerable and high risk groups.

They invite applications for the position of:

Senior Research Scientist

Qualifications:

PhD in Basic Sciences preferably in immunology or virology with specialization in vitro immunology techniques; flow cytometry, cell culture, ELISPOT.

At least 2 years of relevant postdoctoral research experience, and demonstrated ability in team building, leadership and problem solving. Fresh graduates with the above qualifications are also encouraged to apply.

Qualified applicants should have a track record of first-author research paper(s) published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Highly motivated, self-driven, creative, and interactive scientist.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
