The Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Awards

The Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Awards seeks to recognise the best radio programmes that contribute to peace in Africa.

The awards celebrates radio programmes that reduce tensions in groups and communities, which enhance and give value to shared interests, that break down listener stereotypes, and/or that provide positive role models.

Three prizes will be awarded in each category.

The first prize is 250 euros, in each category, while the second in each category receive 100 euros each and the third 50 euros.

There are five Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Awards, in the following categories:

Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Community Radio Award

Radio for Peacebuilding Gender Award

Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Children’s Award

Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Youth Award

Radio for Peacebuilding Africa Special Award

Application Process:

Candidates are limited to one programme per category (so maximum 5 entries per person)

Entries must be in English or French, or must be accompanied by a full translation in one of these two languages.

Programmes must have been broadcasted in Africa

Each entry must include a complete entry form with your radio programme on CD or cassette
