Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi) Scholarships » African Countries Scholarship
The Jill Sanders Memorial Scholarship provides funding for individuals residing in African countries to further their knowledge of Health Technology Assessment (HTA).
The program objective is to have a positive impact on HTA
capacity in African countries through developing professional HTA capacity.
Scholarship support is available for individuals attending or planning to attend an educational institution to undertake a defined program of study directly related to HTA or to individuals participating in an internship program through an HTA agency, Ministry of Health, or relevant Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) on a full-time basis.
Eligibility:
Eligible applicants must be registered or accepted for registration in a formal educational program related directly to HTA or have been accepted into a full-time internship program with an HTA agency, Ministry of Health, or Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
Eligible educational programs must lead to a degree, diploma, or certificate.
The SPPC may evaluate the credentials of an institution or host organization to verify eligibility.
Applications from individuals not residing in a low or middle income country in Africa will not be considered.
Individuals temporarily residing in a high income country but maintaining permanent residence in a low or middle income country in Africa may apply for an HTAi travel grant.
However, preference may be given to individuals currently residing in low or middle income countries.
Expenses eligible for reimbursement under the Jill Sanders Memorial Scholarship include tuition, cost of educational materials/equipment, residence costs, and other essential educational expenses.
Workshops and conferences are not eligible for HTAi scholarship support.
