The Brooke is establishing an East Africa Regional Office in Nairobi to develop and implement country and regional strategies, support and monitor partners and represent the Brooke within Kenya and the wider region.

Programme Manager

National appointment: Two years with possibility of extension

Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Representative, the Programme Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing the country strategy. The Programme Manager will be responsible for

1. Programme and Partnership management,

2. Programme Development, Expansion and Networking,

3. Coordination and Communications.

Summary of Essential Qualifications

  • First Degree (Bachelors) in a relevant animal health discipline such as a veterinary degree or in development studies, social sciences, management or other related areas of international development
  • Minimum 5 years working experience with an international animal welfare/humanitarian/ development NGO with strong programme development, implementation, management monitoring and evaluation experience – especially at the field level

    Finance & Operations Manager

    National appointment: Two years with possibility of extension

    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Regional Representative, the Finance and Operations Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing financial systems for the regional office alongside ensuring sound financial management practices for partners.

    This role will also manage the development of operational structures and processes to support the effective running of the regional team.

    Summary of Qualifications

  • First Degree (Bachelors) in Finance and Accounting or other related area of studies
  • Minimum 5 years working with an international NGO, with strong financial and operational management experience.
