NR International has been short-listed to tender by the EC to provide "Technical Assistance to the Special Office of the President / Arid Lands Resource Management Project on behalf of the national Authorising Office (NAO) of the European Development Fund" based in Nairobi, Kenya.

We are seeking an experienced consultant who is:

  • A strong manger with experience of complex multilaterally funded programmes, 9th EDF procedures would be a distinct advantage
  • A technical expert in relation to Arid zones and drought, Kenya experience would be an advantage
  • Experienced in institutional development and capacity building, specifically has worked with / in government departments

    Minimum requirements are:

  • A Masters degree in any of the following or other related fields: Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Development Studies, Food Security
  • 15 Years professional experience in the fields of food security, environmental or natural resource management, or rural development
  • Experience in advisory positions to government

    Experience that would be a specific advantage:

  • Specific professional experience in a drought management structure in a developing country 
  • Knowledge of Kenya and its arid districts 
  • Implementation of EC administrative and financial regulations (particularly 9th EDF)
