Support to Global Civil Society Campaigns

The European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) under the European Commission has issued an open call for proposals for NGOs around the world to apply for funding under: Support to global civil society campaigns designed to ensure the effective functioning of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Suggested activities can include but not limited to:

  • project building partnerships amongst international, regional and national actors;
  • advocacy and lobbying campaigns;
  • public awareness campaigns of the mandate and activities of the International Criminal Court targeting, inter alia, different public authorities and actors at grass roots level;
  • delivery of technical assistance to increase institutional capacity including relevant officials, judiciary, law enforcement agencies, legal professionals, civil society actors and media;
  • organisation of seminars, symposiums, conferences, workshops, documentaries or other national or international events; and research, production and dissemination of publications and brochures.

    The funding available for each project approved will be between €500,000 and €1,500,000.
