The theme for the year is “Older Persons and the Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals”. HelpAge Kenya, has teamed up with the National Aids Control Council to implement a national programme for promotion of rights and entitlement of infected Older Persons in Kenya funded under TOWA III.
The project is intended to inform, educate and involve children, youth and the general public on being responsive to issues and needs of Older.
Art/Essay Competition Questions/Task:
I. For secondary schools; entrants, the essay/art topic is: “Write an essay (750-1000 words) and/or draw a picture describing the problems that infected and affected Older Persons encounter and suggest practical ways in which families, society and the government can promote their rights to HIV prevention”
II. For primary school’s entrants, the essay/art topic is: “Write an essay (250-300 words) or draw a picture that explains how Older Persons are affected by HIV and AIDS”

Winners Gala Ceremony: The winners will be awarded the prizes/awards on World AIDS day - 1st December.
