Two scholarships are available to Southern African journalism students interested in studying at one of the region’s top journalism schools.

Application deadline: October 27.

The Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership’s (SPI) Postgraduate Diploma in Media Management (PDMM) covers the full cost of tuition, course materials, insurance and some living expenses for one year at the School of Journalism and Media Studies at Rhodes University in South Africa .

The scholarship is valued at RS34,700 (about US$4,442).

The PDMM includes courses on a wide range of news media topics including newsroom management for national or community outlets.

Successful applicants should be citizens of South African Developing Countries, excluding South Africa , have an interest in developing their knowledge of the media industry and have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
