1. Rural Livelihoods Consultant

Location: Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe

As part of these plans, the organization is looking to further develop the livelihood-focused programmes it has been delivering over the past 10 years.

As a result, we are looking for a short term Consultant to conduct initial analysis into the potential for scale up and expansion in this core area of business.

This is an exciting role for an individual with extensive on-the-ground experience in two or more of the following sectors/programme models: agriculture, pastoral livelihoods, vocational training development, micro-finance, food security enhancement, livelihoods-related cooperatives, cash transfers. Policy-level experience related to livelihood development is desirable.

2. Advocacy and Campaigns Coordinator

A dynamic, talented and committed Advocacy and Campaigns Coordinator will lead the development and roll out of our new advocacy strategy.

This includes overseeing policy research and developing partnerships with government and civil society.

The Coordinator will train and support staff, volunteers and partners to effectively engage in advocacy and campaigns efforts at all levels.

This position is based full time in the Jinja head office, with frequent travel to Kampala.

3. Capacity Building Assistant Coordinator

A dynamic, talented and committed Capacity Building Assistant Coordinator will lead all training, technical support and other capacity-building intiatives for youth groups and networks; civil society organisations; service providers; and government officials. This position is based full time in Jinja head office with frequent travel to Kampala.

1. Rural Livelihoods Consultant - Youth Empowerment Programme

We are seeking a values-orientated and experienced Programmes Manager to lead a talented and dynamic unit that designs and implements of our rural youth-led programmes.

Through our Youth Empowerment Programme, young people are empowered to take the lead on sexual and reproductive health, livelihoods and civic education programmes, reaching out to over 70,000 of their peers and members of the wider community every week.

The Programme Manager works closely with the Senior Manager and programmes team, taking overall leadership of the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) unit, including the management of three Programme Coordinators based in the regional offices
