PhD in Environmental Economics - Wageningen University

Wageningen University invites applications for PhD in Environmental Economics.

The research project aims to develop ways to establish sustainable fisheries management strategies that take into consideration the stochasticity of fish stocks as well as the adaptation costs of policies and the fisheries fleet.

Fish stocks are highly stochastic, and therefore difficult to predict, whereas the costs of adapting policies and the fleet tend to be high.

The research is carried out in Wageningen, and should lead to a PhD dissertation.

Requirements:

Required education/skills:

  • University Graduate

  • You have an academic background as an environmental or resource economist with a completed MSc degree of excellent quality;
  • a strong interest and experience in economic modelling and natural resource economics;
  • good communicative skills and willingness to work in a team.

    Estimated maximum salary per month: eur 2000 - 2500

    Salary: scale 10.
