PhD Scholarships at Ruhr Graduate School in Economics - Germany

The Ruhr Graduate School in Economics (RGS Econ) is a three-year PhD program initiated and founded by three universities of Germany’s Ruhr Area - the University of Bochum, the University of Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen.

The RGS Econ offers a number of PhD Scholarships (1250 Euro per month, approx. 1.850 USD) available for students who will commence their studies.

The maximum duration of a scholarship is three years and it’s tax-free. The program is free of tuition fees.

Qualifications:

  • The RGS Econ is looking worldwide for applicants with an excellent academic record and a Master, Diploma or equivalent degree in economics or related fields.

  • A strong background in quantitative methods is necessary for a successful application. The language of the program is English.
  • Hence, a good command of English is a prerequisite. The RGS Econ wants to attract high-level students, who conduct research at an internationally competitive level and finish their dissertation thesis within three years.

    The deadline for applying is April 30th.
