NACE Foundation Book Scholarship:

The NACE Foundation provides Book Scholarships to assist graduate students in the development of their corrosion libraries.

This scholarship is given in the form of a credit to be used on-line in the NACE Bookstore.

This year, the NACE Foundation will distribute the following type of academic scholarship: Two (2) Book Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each (graduate)

The NACE Foundation Book Scholarships will be awarded at the NACE Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas on Wednesday, March 17th.

Scholarship recipients are encouraged, but not required, to attend the annual conference to receive their award in person.

Selection Criteria:

The following criteria will be assessed in an application by the Selection Committee to select the recipients of the academic book scholarships:

  • Academic record, including a description of the school's grading system for student performance to help evaluators
  • Professional and personal activities
  • Detailed work experience particularly if related to corrosion work and activities
  • Description of past/current/future research plans. Graduate students should describe their research project, focusing on their role.
  • Personal Profile Statement
  • Two Letters of Recommendation (one should be from a corrosion professional with whom the applicant has worked)

    Eligibility:

  • Both North American and International Africa students are eligible.
  • Eligibility requires that applicants be graduate students.
  • Post-docs are not eligible.
  • Relatives of members of the Selection Committee or of the funding committee/Foundation are not eligible.
