Junior Data Manager, Ethiopia Performance Management System (EPMS)

Responsibilities:

Assist the Database/IT Specialist manage the data requirements for the EPMS database for all the Objectives/Program Areas.

Update the EPMS website with technical materials generated by the project as and when required.

Assist in sending out data calls to Implementing Partners (IPs) for periodic online update of their records in the database.

Assist IPs to enter performance data into the new system.

Track IP compliance with reporting procedures.

Help analyze the data gathered by developing standard reports, and ensure the ability of the system to generate ad-hoc reports.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a university degree in Computer Science.

At least two years of experience in designing, developing, using, maintaining and managing complex web-based database applications backed by server-based relational database systems, e.g., MS SQL server, PostgreSQL, Oracle.

Demonstrated experience in website design and development, modification and management.

Experience in managing LAN in an organization with primary and secondary domain controllers, Linux systems and complex settings with more than 10 workstations.

Understanding of best practices in systems security and administration.

Ability to work as an integral part of a professional team, set priorities and handle a large volume of activities as and when required.

Oracle Certified Associate/Professional (OCS or OCP), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) preferred (certificates will be verified).

Computer familiarity in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Knowledge of software development with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL and web-based GISes a plus.

Fluency in Amharic and English (both written and oral).
