Regional Logistics Officer

The Regional Logistics Officer is part of the Malaria Consortium Operations department at regional level and provides support to the Africa regional office and country logistics staff in a wide range of logistics processes including;

  • Procurement policy implementation, training and follow up
  • Asset management policy implementation, training and follow up
  • Warehousing and storage policy implementation, training and follow up
  • Fleet Management policy implementation, training and follow up
  • Follow up of international procurement through the appointed procurement agent

    The Regional Logistics Officer will work with the Africa Operations Manager and logistics staff across the region to ensure that logistics systems are in place and followed and that reporting processes are adequate. He/she will also ensure high quality of support to the well-functioning of the Africa Regional office.

    The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree or high level of education in a relevant field: Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Administration
  • Several years of logistics experience with an International NGO or similar organisation
  • Experience in international procurement and good knowledge of key commodities and suppliers
  • Good working understanding of various donors requirements
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    Programme Technical Coordinator

    The purpose of the role is to provide technical support and oversight to all projects within the South Sudan programme, to provide technical support to the Ministry of Health, and to play an active role in the strategic and technical development and expansion of the South Sudan programme.

    The successful candidate will have:

  • Masters’ Degree in Public/International Health, Epidemiology or Communicable Disease Control or other relevant discipline
  • Extensive experience working in public health implementation or communicable disease control, at least two of these years in a management role;
  • Excellent knowledge and demonstrable experience of both malaria control and health systems strengthening in terms of project design, implementation and evaluation;
  • Demonstrable experience working in a technical advisory capacity to Ministries of Health and other partners, including relating to policy and guidelines review or development, and programme reviews;
  • Experience in management and implementation of health programs in a conflict / post conflict environment;
  • Demonstrable experience of working in the field on implementation of health care programmes including trainings of MoH staff at national, sub-national and facility level;
  • Experience in the use of statistical package and databases: SPSS,STATA,EpiInfo ENA for SMART, HMIS, DHIS and other analysis tools, epidemiological analysis and interpretations;
  • Financial management or working with budgets and administrative skills
  • Programme (business) development, including assessment of need and project design, the development of concept notes and proposals, stakeholder consultation and the development of partnerships
  • Strong leadership skills and a supportive attitude towards team member
  • Excellent diplomacy and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Developing training materials and experience in the past of carrying out and supervising training at different scales with different partners (from MoH and County Health Department level to Community Health Workers).
