MSc Scholarships in Viticulture and Enology: Vinifera EuroMaster & Erasmus Mundus.

Vinifera EuroMaster offers a gateway to top level managerial positions such as :

  • Directors/Managers of vine & wine estates & laboratories;
  • Cellar Managers;
  • Consultants in enology;
  • Auditors/Advisors in vineyard management;
  • Market & trade Consultants;
  • Research, teaching & lecturing.

    Admissions requirements

    You must hold at least a Bachelor of Science (180 ECTS) in one of the following fields :

  • Agronomy / Agricultural Sciences
  • Plant Sciences & technologies
  • Food Sciences & technologies
  • Environmental Siences & Technologies
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Food Engineering
  • Physiology
  • Genetics
  • Chemistry / Biochemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Life Sciences
  • Viticulture
  • Horticulture
  • Enology

    General scheme of Vinifera EuroMaster

    Vinifera EuroMaster awards a Joint Graduate Degree. Mobility is compulsory in at least two different European countries within the EMaVE Consortium.

    The first year, or M1, is entirely organized and held at Montpellier Supagro, France : lectures are delivered in English.

    The second year, or M2 : students have to choose a hosting country among the Consortium, according to EMaVE partners' specificities lectures are mainly delivered in the national languages, except for Germany and Portugal where teaching is entirely in English.

    Part of the second year is devoted to the Master's thesis preparation - professionally or research oriented.

    This period may be carried out in yet another country (even outside Europe), depending on the relevance of the Master project.

    Erasmus Mundus Scholarships

    About 20 scholarships are granted to Vinifera EuroMaster every year. Expenses covered by the scholarship:

  • Tuition fees
  • Living expenses (partial)
  • Travel expenses for non EU students only.

    EMaVE grants

    Some grants are given to the best ranked applicants who have not been selected for Erasmus Mundus scholarships.

    The amount covers the tuition fees for their second year of studies.

    Decisions are taken by the Admission Board with respect to the rule of limited number of grants per country.

    Students have to make a special request (box to tick on their application form).
