MSc Scholarships in Agricultural Sciences for Developing Countries at The International School of Agricultural Sciences - The Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment - Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.

Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, one of the world's leading institutions and the only institution in Israel offering advanced degrees in agriculture, nutritional sciences, environmental quality sciences, viticulture and enology, animal sciences, and development practice.

The International Master of Science programs lead to fully-accredited, world-recognized Hebrew University degrees.

We offer one-year programs and two-year programs:

One year Master of Science degrees

  • MSc Agri in Plant Sciences
  • MSc Agri in Environmental Quality Sciences
  • MSc in Nutritional Sciences
  • MSc Agri in Animal Sciences

    The one-year, non-thesis programs are comprised of state-of-the-art theory, scientific approach and practical application.

    A broad curriculum prepares students to become highly qualified professionals in their fields.

    The Hebrew University degree opens the door to PhD studies in Israel and abroad and to key positions in government, NGOs, industry, advisory boards, hospitals and more.

    Participation in the International MSc programs is a life-changing experience.

    Students in the programs benefit from a supportive academic environment, become immersed in Israeli society and culture, and interact with a diverse group of international students.

    Students who fulfill the requirements may be eligible to transfer to the thesis track at the Faculty after successfully completing the non-thesis track.

    Scholarships for the International MSc Programs - MSc Scholarships in Agricultural Sciences for Developing Countries

    The vision of our scholarship sponsors is for scholarship recipients to become instruments of positive and just change by applying the knowledge and skills acquired at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment in their home countries.

    Thanks to the generous support of our scholarship sponsors, we are able to grant a limited number of full and partial scholarships to candidates who have been selected during a competitive review of all applicants.

    The scholarships are granted only to candidates from developing and economically-transitioning countries.

    Types of Scholarships

    Full scholarships cover tuition, student dormitory housing on campus, medical insurance, monthly living stipend and student visa.

    The scholarship does not cover application fees, round-trip airfare, initial living expenses, and a tuition deposit that will be returned to the payer at the end of the program.

    Candidates are required to fund these expenses.

    Partial scholarships supplement candidates from developing countries who can provide funding from other sources.

    Scholarship offers may be withdrawn and offered to applicants on the waiting list if the candidate does not meet the necessary requirements.

    When and how to apply for the MSc Scholarships in Agricultural Sciences for Developing Countries

    To apply for a scholarship, include a completed scholarship application form together with your full application package during the application period, which is November 1 - March 1.

    Applications are to be submitted to the International School, not to the sponsor.
