Khalifa International Date Palm Award

The Award was established under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE (God Protect Him) and with the support of the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

The aim of the award is to enhance the prestige of UAE in the field of date palm research by virtue of its pioneering role in this field.

Application Process:

Applications should be filled in Arabic (Simplified Arabic Font) or English (Times New Roman) with a single spacing for both languages.

Applications are accepted from all around the world; there are no nationality restrictions.

Works submitted for the Awards should be authentic, creative and expanding the knowledge in the date palm cultivation field.

Creative contribution must have not been published yet in any referred or non-referred journal, or any electronic form anywhere in the world.

In order to be eligible, a candidate shall contribute to the development of the date palm industry.

Contributions previously awarded any Arab or foreign prize are not eligible.

An applicant shall not object to the Award arbitrators’ decisions.

Works submitted for the Award shall not be returned to the applicants, they are to be kept in the head office of the Award at Al Ain city.

Submit three copies of the original work (one original, one copy and the third electronic soft copy (CD)).

Prize:

A trophy carrying the winner’s name.

A certificate in the winner’s name with the Award winning category and the date.

A financial reward as follow:

AED 300,000 for the First Winner

AED 200,000 for the Second Winner Deadline: 30th September
