KPLC Career Opportunities for Trainee Engineers 

The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited is a public utility company responsible for transmission and distribution of electrical energy throughout the Country.

Towards ensuring realization of its succession planning initiatives, the Company "seeks to recruit Trainee Electrical Engineers.

We are looking for brilliant, dynamic and self-driven persons eager to make a positive impact in teams.

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions.

Apprentice Engineers

(20 Posts)

These will be training positions and candidates will be recruited under the auspices of our Graduate Engineer Apprentice Program.

Qualifications

should have graduated from a recognized University in the last two (2) years with BSc Degree in Electrical and Electronics or its equivalent with a minimum of 2nd Class Honours.

Those with heavy current option will have an added advantage.

Applicants must also be registered as Graduate Engineer with Kenya Engineers Registration Board (KERB).

Those with IT skills and have been attached with Engineering concern will also have an added advantage.

Qualified persons of Female gender are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will undergo a one (1) year training program at the Company's Training School.

The training program will cover theory in specialized aspects of the business accompanied by practical attachments within various installations and operations of the Company.

On successful completion, they will be absorbed in specific functions of the Company.
