Location: Kenya.

Twaweza East Africa (www.twaweza.org) seeks to enable millions of people in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to improve their quality of life by stimulating people’s imagination and agency, via improved information access and enhanced accountability.

Twaweza in Kenya is looking for two highly motivated, skilled and innovative individuals.

1.Learning and Communication Officer

You will be responsible for developing and fostering a culture of learning and innovation within Twaweza and amongst partners.

You will support partners to effectively monitor and learn lessons from their work.

You will document and share lessons; prepare creative materials, communicate and interact through (social) media and actively contribute to the development of Twaweza’s website.

We are looking for demonstrable track record in a similar role, a master’s degree and a passion for innovation and learning. It’s essential that you can write well in both English and Kiswahili.

2.Lead Analyst

You will produce user friendly information materials in health, water, education and budget analysis, with support from interns and consultants as needed.

You will manage the Kenya Wananchi Survey (a baseline household survey with weekly data collection using mobile phones), analyze existing data and making it available in accessible formats and provide Twaweza partners with analytical support.

We are looking for versatility in analysis of empirical and micro-data, a PhD or masters degree, with 4 yrs of relevant work experience.

You speak and write well in English and preferably also Kiswahili.

Understanding of the use of mobile phones and web 2.0/information design in research are a plus.
