Job Description

Internship at ReliefWeb, from 3 - 6 months starting asap

Duties:

The intern will assist the information managers in the research and posting of information on humanitarian emergencies and related issues.

This includes:

Performing Internet based research on specific countries and emergencies in order to update and extend the coverage of ReliefWeb

Undertaking the conversion of existing electronic publications, and creating documents in the ReliefWeb database

Analysis of information gaps in the site coverage

Requirements:

Applicants must be enrolled in post-graduate education throughout the duration of the internship.

Fluency in English, strong writing skills, computer literacy and an interest in humanitarian affairs are required.

Knowledge of French and Spanish or another official UN language is desirable.

Please note: The internship is unpaid and the intern is not allowed to apply for a job within the UN Secretariat for a period of six months following the internship.
