Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) Jobs: Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is a Tanzania based non-governmental organization with a mission of developing and sustaining Health Research and Resource Institute capable of generating new knowledge and relevant information for public health policy and action.

The Institute is seeking to recruit:

Director of Knowledge Synthesis & Communication

Qualifications:

  • Master or PhD in statistics, public policy, economic development or applicable experience
  • A minimum of 7 years management experience with significant exposure to national, international and developing world issues and public health systems
  • Demonstrated success n progressive leadership roles developing and managing policy and advocacy organizations, programs, or initiatives requiring a combination of strong analytical, writing and management skills
  • A deep understanding of public health, with a special emphasis on policy and public affairs
  • Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication and customerservice skills in complex organization involving multiple stakeholders and cultures
  • Excellent leadership, diplomacy and inter-personal skills
  • Facilitation skills
  • Track record of working well with others in teams.
