IIT Post Doctoral Fellowship for Women

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras offers Short Term Post Doctoral Fellowship for women with Ph.D with an objective of maintaining awareness and interest in high quality academic research in the engineering departments of Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical, Engineering Design, Mechanical, Metallurgical & Materials and Ocean and in the departments of Chemistry, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management Studies, Mathematics and Physics.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have a Ph.D in the appropriate discipline. There is no age limit prescribed.

Duration :

The duration of the fellowship will vary from 2 to 6 months, consisting of 2 to 3 visits of duration not less than two months

After the first visit, the Department at its discretion may extend the fellowship to a maximum total duration of six months.

Details of Support:

Rs.25000/- (consolidated) per month.

Return Train Fare by II AC from place of residence in India to IIT Madras.

Suitable accommodation as per IIT norms will be offered if requested and if available.

Applications are received throughout the year and the candidates will be intimated about the availability by the respective departments.
