Grants for Developing Country Researchers Studying Poverty Issues

Research Grants » Grants for Developing Countries » Grants for Research Students

The Poverty and Economic Policy (PEP) Research Network provides financial and scientific support to teams of developing country researchers studying poverty issues.

In this context, PEP invites proposals for its competition.

All team members must originate from and reside in a developing country during the course of the project.

To maximize capacity building, we favor teams composed of at least one senior researcher supervising a gender-balanced group of junior researchers.

A shortlist of teams will be invited to present their proposals during December general meeting before the final selection.

In addition to the grants outlined below, all selected teams are also eligible for funding to participate in training workshops, PEP meetings, international conferences, study visits and other activities.

Up to 29 grants with a total value of $CAN 1.8 million under four programs:

  • MPIA-PMMA Core Program
    Deadline: January 7

  • CBMS Network Research Grants
    Deadline: January 7

  • PEP-AusAID Policy Impact Evaluation Research Initiative
DEADLINE (expression of interest): November 30.

  • PEP-OPHI Human Development Capabilities Initiative
    Deadline: January 7.
