Location: Kenya

An education oriented Kenyan charitable organisation, which sponsors the post- primary education of talented children from poor families seeks to recruit for the following professional posts:-

1. Director

The position will provide the overall strategic leadership and management of the organization

Qualifications:

  • Advanced University Degree in development related subject ( International Relations, Social Sciences etc)
  • 10 years experience in development work, 5 of which should have been at a management level
  • Knowledge and interest in the education sector in Kenya.

    2. Communications/ Advocacy Officer

    He/she will serve as the main public relations, communications and reporting expert of the organization.

    Qualifications:

  • Degree in Communications or related field
  • 5 years experience in public relations
  • Ability to develop sound advocacy messages
  • Polished analytical skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills.

    3. Finance and Administrative Officer

    One who will provide overall human resources and financial management of the organization.

    Qualifications:

  • A Business/Commerce related degree with an accounting option
  • Accomplished CPA
  • 5 years experience in an accounting function
  • Clear understanding of project/programme management.

    4. Social Worker- Education (2 positions)

    Responsibilities will revolve around the provision of the necessary support to the sponsored children and youth.

    Qualifications:

  • A University Degree in Sociology, Social work, Counselling Psychology or related field
  • 3 years relevant experience, preferably working with children or youth
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent mentoring skills.
