UQ Economics Scholarships for Undergraduates

UQ Economics Scholarships for Foundation Year Students

UQFY students seeking entry to the Bachelor of Economics program at UQ in semester 2, and semester 1, are eligible to apply for a scholarship, worth up to AUD$30,750.

Successful awardees who gain entry to the one-year BEcon (Honours) program after completing the BEcon can apply for a scholarship for the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) program.

Eligibility

Criteria based on academic achievement in the FY. Interviews may be required.

Previous study of economics at school or college is not required for enrolment in the BEcon degree or for the scholarship.

Students applying for a dual degree with BEcon are also eligible e.g BEcon/LLB, BEcon/BA, BEcon/BEng etc.

Application Procedure

Complete the application form and submit with a motivation letter, academic transcripts, CV/resume and two reference letters from IES lecturers to Liz Graham, IES Marketing Department.

Deadline: 30 May for July commencement

7 November for February commencement
