Doctoral Training at Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania

University graduates with 0-4 years of experience are invitited by Polytechnic University of Bucharest to compete for Marie Curie fellowships for research/training in Electrical Eng., Computational Sci. and Nanoelectronics.

Grants are very attractive (100.000 Euro/ 3 years) and include one year internship in leader industries: Philips, Infineon, ST and joining of the best international research teams and challenging EU/FP6 projects.

Other three positions for experienced researchers within a very challenging European FP6 project are also vacant.

To cover the specific needs for knowledge transfer towards the university in the area of HPC, fellows having following profiles will be hired:

  • one experienced researcher (min 4y) in distributed system hardware/admin (They will build a Linux-PC cluster with 64 CPUs);
  • one experienced researcher (min 4y) in software for shared-memory parallel systems and Linux - Grid computing (in order to exploit the cluster in an efficient manner);
  • a more experienced researcher in HPC applied to the Computational Science and Engineering (may be a senior researcher or retired person).

    Linux is their choice for this project.
