Dashboard Support Engineer - Kenya
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Closing Date: 17 June Purpose of Role:
To support the CTO in the implementation and support of the Mission Leadership Dashboard (and related technologies) across the MR global client base.
Dimensions Technical Support of existing client dashboards databases & web sites
Implementation of new client dashboards databases & web sites
Daily administration and maintenance of dashboard instances and their underlying servers
Implementation of new dashboard features, upgrades and patches
Testing of new dashboard related technologies
Business: Understanding the MR offering and its related benefits
Understanding of the MR clients and their businesses
Deeping understanding of corporate structures, operations and finances
Internal
Acting as a technical resource for deepening internal understanding and skills
Continuously communicating and training users in the features and benefits of MR technology
External Behaving with the highest level of professionalism in all client interactions
Always looking at the client perspective behind all support requests
Deeping and understanding of the client business and issues
Top Accountabilities:
Accountable for the quality, consistency and speed of client dashboard support and implementations; both internally to MR and to the client
Reporting to regional and global client account teams any support and implementation statuses and any current or potential issues; whether support related or quality of data related
Escalating to the CTO in a timely fashion any unresolved client or technical issues
Ensuring all admin and maintenance is carried out consistently
Communicating with the rest of the technology team the state of ongoing client support and implementations
Qualifications and Experience Required: Degree level or equivalent. A computer science degree is an advantage. Finance and / or large corporate experience an advantage
2 – 3 years professional IT support or development experience
Very strong Microsoft Office 2003 skills a must; especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint and VBA
A good understanding of relational databases
A very strong understanding of internet technologies; from usability, design, development and delivery perspectives
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 development and / or admin experience a plus
Microsoft Internet Information Server administration a plus
Microsoft Visual Studio .NET experience a plus
