Crop Production R & D Associate

Location: Kilifi, Kenya.

KOMAZA is a social enterprise working to permanently end rural poverty by developing sustainable economic opportunities for smallholder farmers living in East Africa’s infertile and drought-prone regions.

As Crop Production R & D Associate, you’ll be central in shaping the organization. In consultation with the Crop Production Director, you’ll be responsible for all of KOMAZA’s research into what to grow (in the area’s semi-arid regions), and how best to grow it for sale (cost-effectively).

Qualifications:

Top performer with a bachelor of science in a relevant field (natural resource management, forestry, biology, plant science, agriculture, or similar).

2+ years experience in agriculture, experimental design and knowledge of silvicultural and agroecological practices.
