The Kenya Institute of Management will be celebrating 10 years of conducting the Company of the Year Awards (COYA), a process that seeks to help companies improve their Management practices.
Through the use of a technically developed tool, COYA will help your organization arrive at your Organizational Performance Index (OPI).
This is a score that summarizes organizational performance based on the strategies employed in line with organizational processes to achieve a given level of result.
The details of findings are contained in a confidential report that is presented to each participating company which then forms the basis for continuous improvement.
Companies are assessed on the following areas:
Leadership and governance
Social and environmental focus
Strategic focus
Customer and market orientation
Information and knowledge management
Human resource focus
Process management
Business results

The pinnacle of the COYA process is the Gala night presentation of the award winners where the most outstanding companies receive awards of excellence in various management categories. The topmost company is declared The Company of the Year.
