Coffee Development Fund (CoDF) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, vested with the responsibility of providing sustainable, affordable credit to Coffee farmers and financial solutions to the Coffee sector.

The Fund invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Managing Trustee

The holder of this position is the Chief Executive Officer charged with overall leadership and management of the Fund and whose duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the Corporation;
  • Developing and implementing business plans in support of the Corporation’s strategies;
  • Providing support and advice on strategic directions to the Board and inspirational leadership to the staff;
  • Cultivating sound relationships with Government agencies, local and international business partners and coffee stakeholders:
  • Efficiently managing the Fund’s assets in order to enhance effectiveness.
  • Preparation and presentation of operations and statutory reports to the Board:
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

    Applicants should fulfill the following conditions:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or Agribusiness from a recognized University.
  • Masters Degree in Finance, Management, Economics or Agricultural Economics from a recognized university.
  • Competence in financial, human capital and general administrative management.
  • Background in Banking (Credit) or Development Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience at senior management level in a successful organization preferably a Financial institution:
  • Show an excellent track record of leadership and the ability to put together, motivate and retain a cohesive management team and an efficient workforce;
  • Display aptitude in managing organizational change to generate efficiencies through innovative capacity planning and utilization;
  • Be entrepreneurial, self-driven individual of impeccable integrity;
  • Be conversant with and observe principles of Corporate Governance;
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills;
  • Proficient in lOT with ability to use this in improving business operations;
  • Must have clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)I Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Employment will be a 4 years renewable contract with an attractive remuneration package.
