3iS Junior Information Management Officer Jobs in Ethiopia; Support the implementation of Information Management (IM), capacity strengthening, disaster preparedness, and anticipatory action activities. Contribute to the production of high‑quality information products, management of humanitarian datasets, delivery of capacity‑building initiatives, and support to coordination mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
Information Products, Visualization and Mapping
Produce infographics, dashboards, factsheets, and gap analysis visualizations.
Develop and update thematic and operational maps using GIS tools.
Prepare presentation materials and communication assets.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to IM standards.
Data Management and Humanitarian Reporting
Support collection, cleaning, validation, and consolidation of datasets.
Manage partner reporting tools (3W/4W/5W matrices, activity tracking).
Conduct data quality assurance checks.
Assist in preparation of SitReps, progress reports, and donor reporting.
Contribute to data analysis and interpretation for planning.
Assessments, Coordination and Information Sharing
Support design and implementation of assessments and surveys.
Assist in data collection, visualization, and reporting.
Engage with CSOs, CBOs, and coordination platforms.
Organize meetings, prepare materials, and track action points.
Contribute to information‑sharing initiatives.
Capacity Building and Technical Support
Support training needs assessments and design learning pathways.
Assist in delivery of training on IM, data collection, GIS, and reporting.
Facilitate practical exercises and simulations.
Provide technical support and mentoring to partners.
Support establishment of communities of practice.
Digital Learning and Knowledge Management
Develop digital learning resources (guides, tutorials, e‑learning).
Use digital and AI‑assisted tools to enhance training materials.
Maintain knowledge repositories and learning systems.
Document best practices, lessons learned, and case studies.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
Support administration of training evaluations.
Maintain participant databases and monitoring tools.
Analyze training performance data.
Prepare summary
reports and recommendations.
Document project achievements and KPIs.

Requirements for Appointment
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Statistics, GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Humanitarian Studies, or related field.
Languages
English fluency (mandatory).
Amharic fluency strongly preferred; Afan Oromo, Somali, or Tigrinya an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 2 years in IM, data analysis, or training support in humanitarian/development sector.
Practical experience with Excel, KoboToolbox, Power BI, or QGIS.
Experience supporting training sessions or technical assistance in low‑resource settings.
Familiarity with humanitarian coordination in Ethiopia an asset.
Prior field experience in Afar, Amhara, Oromia, Somali, or Tigray highly desirable.
Skills
Proficiency in Excel and KoboToolbox.
Familiarity with Power BI or QGIS for visualization/mapping.
Ability to develop training materials adapted to local contexts.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness to learn new tools quickly.
Teamwork and problem‑solving attitude.
