3iS Information Management Intern Jobs in Kenya;3iS is seeking an Information Management (IM) Intern to support humanitarian data management, visualization, and reporting. This role offers hands‑on experience in IM, data analysis, and the design of information products to support evidence‑based decision‑making.

Main Responsibilities

Data Management

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and consolidating data from multiple sources.

  • Support design and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.

  • Ensure data quality and consistency for analysis and reporting.

    Visualization & Reporting

  • Produce infographics, charts, and dashboards to visualize project data.

  • Assist in creating interactive data products and reports aligned with 3iS branding.

  • Help design situation reports, factsheets, and summary visuals.

    Mapping

  • Produce basic maps using GIS tools (QGIS/ArcGIS).

  • Support geographic data organization and processing.

    Needs Assessments & Analysis

  • Organize and process data for assessments.

  • Prepare presentation materials and reports summarizing findings.

    Capacity Building Support

  • Assist in preparing training materials for IM sessions.

  • Support IM workshops (virtual or in‑person).

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Geography, Computer Science, GIS,
    or related fields.

    Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools.

  • Familiarity with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Canva) an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS) desirable.

  • Knowledge of KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar platforms an asset.

  • Interest in AI tools for data analysis and visualization workflows.

    Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and data quality.

  • Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.

  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
