World Vision Technical Advisor: Institutional Strengthening & Social Accountability Jobs in EthiopiaJob SummaryThe Institutional strengthening and Social Accountability Advisor will assume responsibility strategic leadership and coordination of the thematic area to be implemented across the project regions in close collaboration of PSNP4 stakeholders and also coordinate and guide the integration of the SSSA in to various thematic areas ( Ag and livelihood , Health and nutrition, Livelihood, Gender and Youth ).
The Institutional strengthening and Social Accountability Advisor will also ensure timely and accurate dissemination and exchange of learning report to external and internal stake holders and partners.
Coordinate the effective the overall institutional leadership and accountability frame work in close partnership with PSNP 4 stakeholders systems, Provide direct supervision to ISSA regional coordinators in 3 regions and assist them in effective implementation the project.
Provide technical support for ISSA interventions across thematic sectors, including training of field staff and partners and Lead presentation and validation of ISSA
Analysis results with stakeholders and facilitate the development of an action plan for the integration
Oversee the integration of ISSA across all Purposes in collaboration with Technical Leads, national and regional stakeholders and
In collaboration with consortium partners , participate actively in sector forums and platforms with government partners, donors and partners meetings, feeding information down to implementing partners
Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of activities to the donor, including progress against targets set in the annual work plan, quarterly, and annual reports. Collaborate with the partners
Provide technical lead and support to consortium program team and sub grantees partner staff in development of ToR , managing consultancies , planning and implementing learning activities, and build capacity of project team in learning.
Coordinate learning reviews and workshops of the project under consideration; promote best practices and lessons learning; to produce publication and disseminate success stories, challenges and new opportunities to foster organizational learning.
Ensure systematic communication of project activities, successes and challenges among consortium members and ensure alignment of program strategy to PSNP 4 policies and priorities
BA/sc or MA/Sc degree in Agriculture , Social Sciences, Community Development, or other relevant field
Minimum of 12 years’ experience from which at least 3 years working with WVE or other INGO agencies on technical support for the thematic capacity building and /or rural development project
In-depth understanding of food security, poverty and institutional as well as social economic factors in the proposed areas
Demonstrated analytic capacity and ability to write high quality reports
Demonstrated capacity to lead the collection, analysis and utilization of information from a broad range of sources in order to ensure effective integration of gender and youth concerns throughout the project’s duration
Excellent partnership, communication and advocacy skills and the ability to interact effectively with donors, collaborating agencies, local and government partners
Ability to foster commitment and build capacity among project staff and stakeholders actors to gender integration and empowerment
Excellent organization and planning skills and ability to resolve problems constructively
Understanding of current best practices and innovations in PSNP4 programming,
Computer literate, with strong knowledge of MS Office applications,
Flexibility, persistence, and ability to work well in a multi-sectoral team
Ability to work in a challenging and stressful environment with unexpected
Technical skills required
Experience in, social accountability community empowerment, advocacy and National and grass root level systems strengthening preferred
Proven experience in multi-sectoral programs (Ag/Nutrition) with strong capacity building programming preferred
Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities
Experience as a trainer and demonstrated success in knowledge transfer
Moderate Knowledge of USAID and USG grant regulations and procedures
Excellent written and oral communication skills in in English and Amharic required
