  • Watoto Church and Child Care Ministries has experienced exponential growth in the past couple of years composed of multiple Celebration Centers (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives that include; Child Care, Neighbourhood, Education and FM Radio amongst others. In all of this, Watoto remains a local church, committed to celebrating Christ and caring for community.

  • Watoto Neighbourhood's major aim is to restore dignity to vulnerable mothers and their children by empowering them to achieve their full potential and attain their God-given destiny. This is done through several empowerment programs like discipleship, adult literacy, business training, vocational skilling and many others.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

    • To provide leadership oversight to the Gulu Neighbourhood centre and ensure that all the departmental activities are effectively implemented.

    • To make a proper assessment of clients' needs and allocate funds based on available resources.

    • To support in setting smart objectives for direct reports and conduct performance appraisals to ensure that the staff members are performing to the expected standards.

    • To review and update the discipleship curricula to enable its relevancy to the Ministry.

    • To support in the preparation of the departmental annual budget, work plans and ensure adherence to the approved work plan and budget.

    • To design programs and interventions
    that support Neighbourhood main objectives.

    • To support discipleship & Counselling of the staff members in the neighbourhood department.

    • To ensure that periodic reports on Neighbourhood Gulu operations are well drafted and submitted in time.

    • To ensure that requisitions are approved in accordance to the available guidelines and accountabilities of funds is done in time.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • The applicant for the role should hold at least a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social Sciences, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration and any other related field.

    • At least a minimum of five years' experience working in a similar leadership role.

    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    • Should have a proven track record of managing a big team.
