Our Client, a Leading and the most innovative paint company in East Africa providing tailor made solutions to the construction and retail segments of the market with innovative products, services and world class after-sales support is urgently seeking to hire a talented, enthusiastic and well organized Warehouse Supervisor.
The successful candidate will effectively supervise the warehouse and distribution operations in order to provide an efficient turn round of orders which meet agreed aims and targets, together with the control of stock by performing the following duties;
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep record of stock of all the materials in the system
Check physical stock on regular basis
Tally physical stock with system stock on regular basis by updating on real time
Coordinate with the Factory about the updated requirement and follow up for the same
Maintain stock with the help of Stock Card/Bin card for ensuring zero variance with the system
Coordinate with the Customer service and the sales team to minimize the possibilities of any miscommunication
Ensure security and safety measurements are in place at the depot in liaison with our Security staff and outsourced Security firm
Keep record of stock of all the materials in the system
Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards
Ensure fast delivery with proper loading
Supervising warehouse staff.
Any other tasks assigned
as per business needs
Key Competencies & Qualifications:
Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management or any other related field from a recognized institution
Must have at least 3 years of experience in depot operations, warehousing, logistics, supply chain or similar environment
Substantial previous experience in a complex environment, working with multiple stakeholders
Analytical approach and problem diagnostic skills
Attention to detail and clear levels of ownership
Proven leadership skills with an eye for continuous improvement of teams and methods of working.
Accountability – drive accountability and takes responsibility accordingly
Ability to be self-motivated with a positive attitude and a solid work ethic
Ability to be proactive and take initiative
Organization skills
