US Embassy Surveillance Detection Coordinator Jobs in Nigeria; The U.S. Embassy Abuja seeks qualified applicants for the Surveillance Detection Coordinator (SDC) position in the Regional Security Office. The SDC provides daily oversight of the Surveillance Detection Program, supervises SD staff, analyzes notable events, and inputs daily data into the Diplomatic Security Information Reporting (myDSIR) database.

Duties

  • Report directly to the Regional Security Officer (RSO) and provide timely analysis of notable events.

  • Supervise one SD Technician, three SD Supervisors, and nine SD Monitors.

  • Oversee surveillance detection operations across Embassy/Consulate facilities and USG event venues.

  • Receive daily reports, analyze and translate data, and input into myDSIR database.

  • Conduct oversight of SD staff and ensure compliance with RSO directives.

    Education Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education (high school diploma or local equivalent).

    Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of military, police, or private security experience.

  • At least six (6) months of investigative experience.

  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience.

    Job Knowledge

  • General knowledge of surveillance techniques.

  • Familiarity with traffic patterns, pedestrian behavior, facilities, and travel routes.

  • Knowledge of local law enforcement capabilities.
