  • In the US, we focus on improving communication related to issues like substance abuse, with a particular focus on reaching underserved populations.

    Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Support the COP in overall oversight and management of the Cote d’Ivoire project.

  • Provide leadership to the project’s administrative team, setting strategic direction and priorities and monitoring compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures across global and country programs.

  • Oversee contractual and financial functions including procurement budgeting, management reporting, and accounts analysis in accordance with applicable financial policies and procedures of URC and partners/donor agencies.

  • Ensure that internal contractual, financial, procurement and administrative procedures are in accordance with the laws and other requirements of URC, USAID, and host countries.

  • Provide support and oversight to project coordinators for accurate and timely financial management and backstopping of country-based programs, including training, mentoring, and supervision.

  • Contribute to strategic thinking and direction of project administrative policies, reflection growth and changes to respond to client compliance requirements.

  • Prepare project budget
    and budget tracker as well as financial reporting and projections.

  • Ensure that costs are allocable, attributable, and reasonable.

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and approvals with partners/donor agencies.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a management-related field.

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in the administration of multi-country development programs with demonstrated success in leading contractual, financial and related management activities, including experience with USAID projects.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing the contractual, financial and administrative aspects of USAID-funded projects.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in low-or-middle-income countries implementing development programs.

  • Demonstrated strong budgeting and financial analysis skills.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a diverse and geographically dispersed staff, including senior level staff and fostering a team environment with program staff located in multiple locations.

  • Ability to build and foster partnerships with partner/donor agencies based in the US and developing countries.

  • Superior analytical skills, decision making, and ability to produce results in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.

  • Strong management, interpersonal, communication, mentoring and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to network and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • English fluency is required.
