United Nations Human Settlements Programme Administrative intern Jobs in Kenya



United Nations Human Settlements Programme Administrative intern Jobs in Kenya; Support the UN‑Habitat Egypt Programme in administrative, financial, and procurement operations. Assist the Country Programme Manager and the Regional Office for Arab States (ROAS) in delivering efficient programme support services across staffing, finance, procurement, and office management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain vacancy announcement files and track status of postings.

  • Support maintenance of staffing tables and prepare statistical data/charts.

  • Assist in preparing or customizing financial reports from UMOJA system.

  • Draft routine correspondence on administrative, audit, and personnel matters.

  • Prepare tailored administrative reports.

  • Assist Procurement Unit in collecting quotations and organizing documentation.

  • Maintain and update office vehicle logbooks and ensure accurate usage records.

    Qualifications & Special Skills

  • Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme (Master’s or higher), or final year of a first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent).

  • Preferred fields: Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related areas.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to its Charter.

  • Ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Experience in administration, finance, accounting, audit, or HR desirable.

  • Strong research, data collection, and reporting skills desirable.

    Languages

  • Fluency in English and Arabic required.

  • Knowledge of French or another UN language desirable.
