Summary of position:

  • At country level, in line with the business of good customer satisfaction - implement, drive and sustain the end-to-end key processes i.e., “Order to cash”, “Forecast to plan” and “Procure to pay” - in order to meet the company's short- and long-term supply chain management requirements.

  • This position is responsible for supporting the business objectives of the subsidiary by managing and improving all supply chain areas, in full alignment within the company's global strategy and standards.

  • The Supply Chain Manager has the overall responsibility for the Supply Chain, Warehouse and Customer Service departments.

    Accountabilities:

  • Strategy & Policy definition: Follow the strategy roadmap and participate in the validation of policies and tools.

  • Continuously improve the customers’ satisfaction, balancing supply requirements and available capacities, optimizing costs and managing up to full compliance.

  • Cascade Local objectives at the country level.

  • Community management : Deploy the right organization at local level.

  • Manage and monitor the local team (trains, follows-up, sets objectives).

  • Deploy and monitor KPI (sales forecast accuracy, Working Capital Ratio, customer service, DPS, transport costs).

  • Inform corporate teams about the country’s challenges (voice of the customer and P&L impact).

  • Product launch & life cycle : Co-ordinate the local launches and being in close contact with the business.

  • Challenge the local sales forecasts. Be sure that the right data management is done in the tools.

  • Inventory management, procurement & supply planning : Pilot the right stock management for good customer satisfaction, in-line with our WCR constraints.

  • Manage local allocation plans.

  • Ensure that correct alerts are given to the zone, corporate and business teams, for continuity of the business.

  • Sales Order Management : Deploy the right management of the orders and their deliveries (transport and warehouse) for customer satisfaction.

  • Manage relationship with the customer. Manage the 1/3 party warehouse (contract, follow up).

  • Process improvement & Quality : Ensure that claims management is done properly by Customer Services.

  • Manage local projects in line with corporate and zone guidelines for continuous improvement.

  • Demand planning & forecasting : Collect and challenge local sales forecasts for business continuity.

  • Monitor closely
    KPIs (sales forecast accuracy). Check consistency with the financial estimate (Tidemark) for adjusting data.

  • Manage the local data in tools.

    Technical Competencies:

  • Business Acumen: Global understanding of business & industrial flows. Ability to see the “big picture” of the organization and understanding the key drivers of the business & industrial impacts on each other.

  • Planning Supply Chain: Ability to anticipate and plan. Ability to be proactive. Capacity to set in motion / lead relevant action plans.

  • Transport knowledge: Capacity to manage a defined transport-, project- and action plan involving different modes of transportation.

  • Distribution & warehousing: Knowledge of warehousing processes and constraints, and be able to anticipate solutions.


  • Negotiation: Ability to follow a defined process which enables negotiations to be completed to the satisfaction of both parties.

  • Ability to get customers / suppliers to agree on actions regarding the sales process, in order to make progress.

  • Analytical skills & results driven: Ability to design the studies in order to generate data, having a good statistical accuracy level.

  • Ability to perform a full analytical review, to define the analysis to be performed, and how to design the right reports.

  • Ability to synthesize, or comment on complex information, based on root cause analysis and logical thinking.

  • Capacity to highlight and recommend specific scenarios in order to drive activities, to anticipate and define corrective action plans and monitor them to achieve results in a changing environment.

    Networking, conflict management & Interpersonal skills:

  • Ability to take into account the personalities of colleagues during interaction with them. Maintain a professional network and act as an ambassador.

  • Ability to solve the majority of the issues and conflicts within their teams.
