Job Summary:

Description of the purpose of the job
Review, evaluate and contribute to the improved effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes and perform Technical audit assignments as directed by the supervisor

Key responsibilities:

Brief description of duties or the responsibilities for the job

1. Conduct audit assignments as per audit programmes.
2. Identify material changes in operations/systems and alert supervisors.
3. Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of operations and promoting continuous improvement
4. Ascertain extent to which process goals and objectives have been established and conform to those of UEGCL
5. Review processes to ascertain extent to which results are consistent with goals and objectives and are performed as intended
6. Prepare timely, clear, and well-written reports of audit results to Supervisor.

Supervisor: Audit & Compliance Manager

Contacts/Liaise with the following offices:

Internally

All Chiefs, Departments

ICT Manager

Externally

Contractors and consultants

Regulator

Concessioner

Education and Professional Requirements:
The minimum education level required to perform this job.

A Bachelor degree in Engineering

Proficiency in Auditing and Compliance Management

Part qualification in accounting with relevant professional body such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA is a added advantage

Member of relevant professional bodies is added advantage

Related Job Experience:
The Experience required to perform this job.

3 years’ experience working on relevant Technical engagements and related projects with ability to demonstrate quality assurance acumen
Additional Skills/Competences: In addition to the experience and educational requirements listed above

Analytical, testing and sampling skills

Professionalism

Knowledge of Audit Strategy.

Knowledge of Audit Methodology and scope:

Understanding Risk, Control and Governance

Management of Audits skills

Excellent Reporting skills

Computer & IT competencies

Articulate communicator and excellent report writing
