We have just recently opened offices in South Africa and are looking for an energetic Administrator to support the growth. Working at Ubongo won’t be easy, but it will challenge and excite you with lots of responsibilities, plenty of fun, and give you the opportunity to impact the lives of millions of kids every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a smooth running and compliant office
    ● Organize office day to day operations and procedures
    ● Assist/advise office staff in matters relating to administration and
    human resources
    ● Keep track of attendance records of Ubongoers
    ● Acts as the point person for external parties in matters relating to
    administration
    ● Review and approve supply requisitions and initiate procurement for
    daily office supplies. All requisitions are to be approved by the Line
    Manager prior to purchasing.
    ● Update organizational memberships
    ● Supervise the maintenance of office equipment and update inventory
    list
    ● Ensure the keep inventory file is kept up to date
    ● Maintain and replenish consumables and other office supplies
    ● Check stock to determine office supplies levels
    ● Verify receipt and maintenance of office supplies
    ● Responsible for all bid comparisons in line with the procurement policy
    as well as liaising with all suppliers

    Requirements

  • Ready and able to take on all the challenges listed above (and many
    more, down the line) as we scale! This probably means you’ll have a Bachelor’s or Master's’ degree in Administration/Business
    Administration but we’re more interested in your experience and your
    ability to get the job done than your qualifications.
  • Communication skills – Ability to interact and influence a range of seniority levels and is confident discussing sensitive issues with Senior managers
  • Drive for results - Delivers high quality work
  • Soft skills - Demonstrates capabilities to navigate the front office organization and searching for consensus within a population
  • Corporate role model and always leading by example and exemplifying
    Ubongoers Principles.
  • A task juggler. There is a LOT going on at Ubongo, and you will need to
    be able to work across our projects and products
  • Team player & cross cultural awareness - Works effectively in a team.
